Essential oils have become a huge part of our family’s health and daily life. There are so many uses for the oils and I still have so much more to learn. I wanted to let you know what essential oils I carry around in my purse and never leave home without.
The Oils:
Lemon – Put a drop in your water or tea, promotes a positive mood and aids in digestion *the flavor also helps me drink more
Lavender – Put some on the skin for skin irritaions like bug bites also reduces anxiety and promotes sleep
Breathe – Inhale to help with clear breathing, aide in sleep and helps minimize the effects of seasonal threats
On-Guard – Put a drop in water and rinse in your mouth, dilute and use to clean hands to help protect you from environment threats
Peppermint – Put a drop in your water, tea or directly on your skin to promote digestion, ease headaches
Slim & Sassy – Put a drop in water or apply to the skin to help you manage your hunger cravings, calms stomach and lift mood
Deep Blue – Rub onto sore muscles to aide recovery
DigestZen – Apply to bottom of feet or on abdomen to aide in digestion and calm stomach upset
I keep the oils in 5/8 dram bottles. They are small but hold enough oil to get the job done while on the go. I also purchased a small carrying case that holds 8 bottles and can fit in my purse.
Want to know how I used these oils today?
Lavender – work has been beyond stressful lately and I had to have conversations with employees today that they were not going to enjoy, so I put a drop of lavender on either side of my neck. This kept the smell of the oil close so I could take deep breaths and stay calm.
Peppermint – I helped with a field trip with 26 first graders. We took them to a fast food restaurant (it was not Gluten Free and I didn’t eat a thing) and the noise was ridiculous as they played in the indoor play area. In the car on the way back to work I put some peppermint on my temples to help the headaches that was quickly approaching.
There are a number of brands of essential oils available. This is the brand that I trust, use and buy. This is also the brand that makes the blended oils that I have listed above. Do your own research and decide what brand is best for your family.
What health struggles do you have that may be helped with essential oils?
