I have been on a kale kick lately. I have been putting it in everything! To be honest I am new to kale so I’m in the early stages of experimenting with it! Side note- if you have a good kale recipe please send it to me!
This is a super simple Gluten Free pasta dish that the family loved! The twins even ate the kale!
What You Need:
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 large lemon zested and juiced
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 to 4 handfuls of chopped kale
salt and pepper
1 package of GF chicken sausage
1 box of GF pasta – I use Ronzoni
How To Make It:
Fill a pot with water and cook pasta according to the package. In a large skillet melt the butter over medium/ high heat and add the olive oil, onions and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and add the broth, lemon juice and zest, sour cream, cheese. Stir and let cheese melt. Then add the kale, season with salt and pepper, cover and cook for 5 minutes. In a small skillet cook the chicken sausage over high heat according to the package.
Serve with the GF pasta and top with more parmesan cheese.
This sauce has a very rich flavor so a little goes a long way.
