Are you looking for a way to make pork chops that are Gluten Free, easy, tasty and moist? Then this is the perfect recipe for you!
This recipe really only takes 5 ingredients and the end result will wow your friends and family.
Our family loves pork chops. We bake them, cook them in a slow cooker and pan fry them. Personally I prefer to bake them as I feel they stay moist and have more flavor. This is the perfect recipe for a mid-week dinner that you can throw together while juggling kids, homework and activities.
Ingredients
- 3 Boneless Pork Chops, thick sliced
- 2 tbsp Avocado oil or Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp Dried herb blend
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Heat an oven safe skillet over medium heat. Add the oil.
- Season both sides of the pork chop with salt, pepper and the herb blend.
- Brown each side of the pork chop for 2-3 minutes in the hot oil.
- Move the skillet to the oven and bake for 30 minutes. For a nice crust on both sides, flip the pork chops halfway through cooking.
- Allow pork chops 5 minutes to rest then enjoy.
Notes
The cooking standard is 145 degrees for pork chops. If you are using thin pork chops, reduce cooking time to 20 minutes.
There are loads of options for the dried herb blend. You can find many varieties at your local grocery store and choose the one that best matches your taste. Always read labels to make sure the herb blend is Gluten Free. My preferred blend for pork includes dried organic rosemary, garlic, onion, sage, thyme and cayenne. This is the brand I love.
Now, before you run away screaming because you remember the pork chops of old that were harder to chew than leather. The new recommendation is to cook your pork chops to 145 degrees. That means you can cook your meat without drying it out and you do not lose all the wonderful juices.

Enjoy!
