Massel bouillon and seasoning sponsored this post and provided me with products to use in the recipes; however, the opinions I share in this post are my own.
When I was sick as a child I remember my mom making me warm soup to sip on while I watched cartoons. Now as an adult I want the same thing when I’m sick to help me feel better. A few weeks ago we had a nasty bug in our house and the only thing I wanted was soup. Massel bouillon cubes to the rescue! I had recently received some awesome products from Massel and the timing could not have been better! I ate 3 bowls of their delicious chicken style broth in one afternoon. It was just what I needed to feel better. And yes I did watch cartoons while I sipped my soup, however that was due to the kiddos.
I have since used the Massel products in a number of other recipes. We’ve enjoyed them in tasty quinoa, to add flavor to a chicken skillet dish, in a stir fry and in the slow cooker. I really appreciate the versatility of these products.
About the company
Massel started in Australia 30 years ago as the first all vegetable bouillon and first bouillon with no added MSG. They use premium vegetables and herbs in their mixes. They have a huge product offering that is suitable for people with many different dietary restrictions!
Here is the list right from their website!
I need to add they are GMO free and they use a dedicated Gluten Free facility so their is no risk of cross contamination!
They even have salt reduced varieties if that is something you need in your diet.
This bouillon brings so much flavor to any dish. Here is a slow cooker recipe I created with their products.
Massel Pork Loin
What You Need:
3 lb pork loin
2 tbsp GF season salt
2 Massel 7’s Vegetable Bouillon Cubes
1 1/2 cups water
How To Make It:
Season all sides of the pork loin with your GF season salt. Place pork in a slow cooker, drop in the Massel bouillon cubes and pour in the water. Cook low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
We enjoyed ours with some steamed vegetables and rice. We poured the broth from the slow cooker on the pork and rice. It was very juicy and flavorful.
I decided to create a very basic recipe to showcase the Massel cubes and was very pleased with the result. You can find other recipes on their website. The spinach dip caught my eye. Next dinner party will include that dip!
You can purchase Massel products online as well as at retail stores. You can go here to find the closest location to you.
I will also be doing a giveaway later this month with Massel, so stay tuned!
