I wish I was the creative genius who came up with this awesome recipe, but alas, I am not that cool only Martha is! I stumbled upon this recipe while spending hours, I mean minutes on Pinterest.
The concept seemed so simple, wrap chicken tenders in bacon and cook. It does take a little effort to make this simple concept come to life, but I have to say the end result is worth the effort!
What You Need:
Salt and pepper or seasoning of choice
12 slices of bacon
12 thawed chicken tenders
2 tbsp olive oil
How To Make It:
Season the tenders on both sides. Then wrap a slice of bacon around each chicken tender. (TIP: I found it helpful to have it start and end on the same side so you could put that side down to make the bacon stay put.) Assemble all the tenders and set aside. Heat skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. When the oil starts to make “waves” you are ready. Put in the tenders using tongs, make sure they aren’t touching one another in the skillet. Then don’t do anything for 4-5 minutes. Then you can flip them over for another 4-5 minutes, and again without moving them. I also cooked mine on the sides for a few seconds so the bacon would not be soggy on the sides.
Yes, this does have a few more steps than my usual recipes, but trust me this dish is worth it! Our family devoured these!
That Martha lady, knows her stuff! Again, I adapted the recipe from this recipe.
Enjoy!
