This is a great family friendly meal that is super easy to make. I modified this recipe to make it Gluten Free. Depending on what your family likes you could add some peppers, onions, jalapenos, or other vegetables It is a nice one dish meal. It reminds me of a hamburger helper kind of dish. So if you have 1 lb of ground beef, a bag of GF pasta and some taco seasoning you are all set!
What you Need:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 packet GF taco seasoning
1 cup water
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
1 bag of GF pasta
How to Make it:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Brown beef with veggies of choice, drain fat. Boil water and cook GF pasta. Add taco seasoning and 1 cup of water to cooked ground beef. Allow to cook for 5 minutes on medium. Add in cream cheese and 1/2 cup of cheese. Stir it to melt the cheeses. Mix the GF noodles with the beef/cheese mixture and pour into a casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
The kids and hubby love this one! There is rarely any leftovers. It has a rich flavor to it that comes from the cream cheese that helps balance the spicy taco seasoning.
