Slow cooker meals are such a life saver for us. With both my hubby and I working and juggling 3 young kids it makes life so much easier to use the slow cooker. I can put everything together during the morning nap and viola dinner is ready just in time. This is a simple recipe for chicken with a basic white sauce. Some versions I have seen are called Chicken Stroganoff. Since there aren’t any veggies in the slow cooker you can always steam some on the side. If you do not want it to be as creamy only use 1/2 a packet of cream cheese.
What You Need
2-3 chicken breasts
2 tbsp butter
1 packet GF Italian salad dressing mix
1 box/ can GF cream of chicken – I use Pacific
8oz cream cheese
How To Make It
Cut up chicken and put in slower cooker with butter and dry Italian mix. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2. YES – that is all, do not put in the other ingredients yet.
About 45 minutes before time to eat mix in the cream of chicken and cream cheese. Turn up to high and let it mix together. Stir it and you are done!
You can serve it over GF pasta and rice.
The toddler loves this meal! She calls it chicken and white sauce with noodles. This is part of our regular rotation of meals.

Looks good and it can’t be much easier. I love to throw dinner in the crock pot and forget it.

What brand of Italian dressing seasoning packet do you use? Good Seasons has wheat listed as an ingredient. I’m unfamiliar with other products!! Thank you!! I just started following you and love your website and fb posts!! Thank you!!!
