Pork chops aren’t usually in our weekly menu. We are more of a chicken, turkey and beef family. Not because we don’t like pork, just because I don’t have a lot of experience cooking it.
I found a Parmesan Sage Pork recipe on one of my favorite recipe websites but it didn’t match our family’s taste or pantry availability. So I made some changes and created GLUTEN FREE Parmesan Pork Chops. I typically don’t feel super proud of meals I make but I have to say this one made me puff up a little! It was awesome! Not dry or chewy at all!
What You Need:
4 boneless pork chops
1/2 cup GF bread crumbs (I used rice crumbs)
3/4 cup parmesan cheese (I combined shredded and grated)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 egg
1/4 cup GF flour (I used Bloomfield Farms Seasoned Flour)
Salt & pepper
Season salt
Garlic powder
How to Make It:
Heat oven to 400. Put flour, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl. Put parmesan, GF bread crumbs, season salt and garlic powder in a second bowl. Put egg in third bowl. Pat the chops dry with a paper towel. Coat chops in flour, egg, then parmesan mixture. Let rest while you heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Brown the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side.
Then bake for 15 minutes. I used a drying rack sprayed with GF cooking spray on a baking sheet.
That’s it! Baked Gluten Free Parmesan Pork Chops! I served ours with green beans, sweet potato fries, and GF mac-n-cheese. The sides are all centered around the toddler š
This was the first time I’ve EVER browned any meat then baked it. I know – my cooking techniques need to be broadened. But since this went so well I may try other things.
Enjoy!

I use Chex cereals & seasonings and shredded cheeses if you want. Put in gal. zip lock bag seal and rolling pin to fine crumbs. Mostly I use rice or corn Chex or both.

What rice crumb brand do you use? I need a replacement for bread crumbs for several recipes.

I use Tall Papa Bread crumbs or Organ rice crumbs. Both are good.
Enjoy!
